The RainCatcher Inc. is a full service design/build company that focuses on the principles of sustainability in the southwest. Following the code of ethics set forth by the permaculture principle (care of earth, care of people, sharing surplus) The RainCatcher uses water harvesting, water catchment, edible/sustainable landscapes, irrigation, wastewater treatment and reuse, erosion control and restoration to achieve these goals.
The RainCatcher Inc. specializes in using drylands permaculture design techniques to create long term sustainable landscapes and homesites. The RainCatcher Inc. aims to provide business excellence through workmanship quality, integrity, sustainable land and water practice, and support of the community.

Staff & Crew
Reese Baker, owner and founder of The RainCatcher Inc., has been involved with construction, organic farming, and permaculture in Santa Fe for over 15 years. He holds a B.S. in Biology/Botany from The University of New Mexico, is certified in permaculture design and is a state licensed contractor.
Reese served on the board of directors for the Santa Fe Watershed Association and currently serves on the City of Santa Fe Water Conservation Committee. He has taught classes at Ecoversity, Plants of the Southwest, Santa Fe Prep. School, Quivira Coalition, Earthworks Institute, Arboretum Tome, Permaculture Institute and Santa Fe Community College.
He is currently involved in independent research, with a focus on the importance of soil ecology in our landscapes today. His personal interests include studying classical piano, playing basketball, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends.

We have a wonderful and diverse set of employees who take personal responsiblity for their work and have a personal commitment to the company. Our employees are very diverse and have many talents in all the different areas of the company – from stone masons, irrigation techs, and landscape designers, to plumbing installers who can handle the most technically complex projects. We work as a team, and as a family, to provide a high quality service while creating a fun working environment. Our crews have a combined landscape/irrigation experience of 65 years, and plumbing/water catchment experience of 40 years.
